Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city, is an ancient and historical city that possesses spectacular scenery, fine architecture and an enviable culture.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, a period of astute enlightenment, the city was a prime focal point and has evolved in its scientific and technological brilliance to become one of the most vibrant and exciting capitals in Europe.
Today Edinburgh is an exceptional amalgamation of the historic and modern. A rich variety of castles, palaces and stately homes are situated in the heart of a contemporary metropolis.
Edinburgh’s climate is at its best between the months of May and September and daylight hours are at their longest; but whenever you are in the city it is best to expect both sun and rain, so please be prepared for both.
