Here are some practical instructions and information for your arrival in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh has excellent transport links with the UK and with Europe.
The Edinburgh Conference Centre is located at Heriot-Watt University situated half a mile west of the Calder Junction exit from the A720 city bypass. For more detailed information on directions click here.

Arriving in Edinburgh

If you arrive by air:

Edinburgh Airport (0870 040 0007) has direct flights to most UK airports and to most European capitals. It is located about a 20 minute drive west of the city centre.
Discount carrier Easyjet operate services between London Luton and Stansted airports and Edinburgh, along with services to other regional airports around the UK.
Flybe operate services between Birmingham airports and Edinburgh.
British Airways and British Midland fly between Edinburgh and London Heathrow (BA also has flights to London Gatwick).

If you arrive by train:

Trains (GNER) from London Kings Cross leave every hour, with a journey time scheduled at slightly under 4.5 hours. GNER trains travel up the east coast line. Visit GNER's website, or telephone 08457 225 225 for tickets or 08457 484 950 for enquiries.
Virgin trains provide direct cross country services to many other cities in England. Telephone 08707 891 234 or 08457 222 333.

Edinburgh’s principal railway terminus is Waverly Station.  A taxi rank is located inside the station next to Platform 11. Trains from the West Coast or from Glasgow will also stop at Haymarket Station, at the west end of Princes Street.
